In December it is going to be time to castrate my bulls so my uncle said for me to find a cheap ticket and the dates in which i want to come out and he would pay for my ticket. Anyway today my bulls are 5 weeks and 4 days old. I miss them. My last cow hickey from B (or #4) is fading away. Hey it lasted a long time, 6 days. Anyway I gotta go I am going to go back to looking up information about colleges and stuff, later

Well, i have had my calves now for excatly one month (31 days)

And they are 34-35 days old right now, which means that they only have to stay on the bottle for another 4 weeks....

Other than that they are doing wonderful....

One of them has an absyss on one side of its jaw and when its ready it will start to puss and then we have to take a knife and lance it and get everything else out. This is just a little infection on the jaw that is caused by something inside the mouth which is most likely got from eating something or more likely chewing on something that it got a bacteria...
So my calves have been great, all are doing super well, and they are eating grain (sweet cob) out of a bin and also drinking water out of a bucket. We have been giving 2 of them 4cc's of Liquamycin (Antibotic) every 24 hours and that has been helping then somewhat...

With my uncle's cows that are grown, we had to round up and put in the corral this morning because I noticed that 2 of them have pink eye (disease carried by flies) so since my uncle is out of town he told me to have grandpa help me and put them through the squeeze shoot and give them a shot of penicylin directly in their...
So last ngiht we gave that sick calf an antibotic and it was still laying down, and then this morning we gave him electrolites, so that should help him gain some strength to get better. He has the most meat on him, more than the other steers. Last I woke up several times and i was so worried that he was going to die. I actually dreamed that I wanted to go to the barn so bad, but no one would let me. ::sigh::

Since it survived through last night, it now has a better chance. We still have to give it the antibotic every 24 hours and the medicine once everyday, we've been giving it to him... (more)
